Linux & Embedded Linux

Generic Linux driver support is available for the following ISDN chips:
HFC-S PCI A, HFC-S PCI, HFC-SP and HFC-S+. These drivers are part of the HiSax-Module which is included in many of the popular Linux distributions.

For the installation of ISDN PCI cards under Linux, please refer to our Installation Guide.

Support for ISDN cards based on HFC or HFC-S is most likely included in the Linux HiSax module. Please use the driver corresponding to the manufacturer of your ISDN card.

Generic Linux driver support for Cologne's HFC-S USB, HFC-S mini, HFC-4S and HFC-8S ICs is available upon request by email from Cologne Chip.

For the ISDN processor HFC-S active an embedded Linux as well as the ISDN4Linux protocol stack was ported. The software is part of the evaluation kit for HFC-S active.

More information about ISDN under Linux can be found at www.isdn4linux.de and in the Linux newsgroups.

You are an electronic engineer working on an ISDN project with embedded Linux? The team of Cologne Chip will be happy to arrange a direct contact to the software engineers which are in charge of HiSax driver development. Under the terms of GPL, the existing Linux drivers can be used for embedded Linux projects, too.
