Cologne Chip to Showcase Radiation-Tolerant GateMate FPGA at FDF 2026 —
Cologne Chip will participate in the upcoming FPGA Developers Forum 2026, highlighting its latest advancements in FPGA technology with a strong focus on radiation-tolerant applications. The event, hosted at CERN from May 27–29, 2026, brings together engineers and researchers to exchange practical insights on FPGA design and implementation.
At this year’s forum, Cologne Chip will present its GateMate FPGA platform and recent progress in radiation testing and qualification. These efforts are aimed at enabling reliable deployment of FPGA-based systems in demanding environments such as high-energy physics experiments and space missions. Extensive radiation test campaigns have already demonstrated that GateMate devices can perform comparably to other FPGAs built on similar process technologies, reinforcing their suitability for use in environments like CERN instrumentation or satellite systems.
